Here and Now: Week 37

Here’s what we did in our everyday lives this week:

We finished our weekend at the beach with a Sunday morning trip to the aquarium.

Fascinated

The price I pay to have an uninterrupted phone call. It was worth it!

Garden spider outside our basement door

Baby doctor in training — I especially love his stethoscope.

Back from a stop at the library and a little stop at the store; we loaded up on books and on glow sticks before the hurricane comes.

Getting outside as much as we can before the rain

Green smoothies for lunch

Prepping the basement for the hurricane

And in the end, Hurricane Florence blew around us! (I used a star to show our location.) We were spared being in the direct pathway. Three cheers for less rain (hoorah!), less wind (hoorah!), and less damage (hoorah!) then we anticipated. We did have tornado sightings in our area, but no one was hurt. Thank you, God! Now our challenge is to put our prayers, hearts, efforts, and pocketbooks into helping those who are impacted.

Last week I called him a super big boy. This week he’s a mini construction worker.

Watching the rain fall

Monkey-Baby is one of her nicknames. She climbs EVERYTHING!
